My congratulations once again to those golfers who, by consistently playing to a high standard this season, qualified for the Order of Merit Finals Day held at Bingley St. Ives Golf Club, and especially to this year’s overall winner, Cliff Weatherill.

Sadly due to other commitments, John Dove and Allan Marshall could not be present, nor could the 11^th qualifier, Colin Sanderson, so this left the door open for Brian Lockett and myself to compete on the day.

A varied and challenging course with subtle greens proved a stiff test for us all, but final congratulations went to Mark Owers, who convincingly led the field and deservedly finished as winner.

My thanks must go to staff at Bingley who made us so welcome, and to all at Forest of Galtres who contributed to the success of the occasion.
