2010 Mens Inter-club

 

          Friendly Matches










  

Each match is a 12 man team, the format being 4 Ball Better Ball Matchplay.

 

If you are interested and available to play in any of these matches (handicap limit 28), please sign up on the notice board sheet in the clubhouse.

 

All matches are on a Wednesday, except Sandburn Hall Away on June 15th, which is a Tuesday, with tee off times of 4.30pm.

 

Cost per match is normally £10 per person (home and away) and this includes a two course meal in the club house after completion of the match. 

 

Dress Code for meal: Jacket & Tie.

Home to Flaxby Park G.C., July 28th 2010:
 
  The Men's Inter-club Friendly team got back to winning ways on Wednesday evening with a fine 4 - 2 victory over Flaxby Park. This was especially pleasing as they had not only defeated us 5 - 1 in the Away fixture earlier in the season, but just the day before had celebrated a resounding win over our EGGS team.     All the matches were close encounters and thoroughly enjoyed by both teams of players. My thanks go again to all who support the Club in these games and congratulations once more for inflicting on Flaxby only their second defeat of the season. Well done!
 
  We have just two fixtures remaining, the next being our last Home game against Heworth on August 11th, followed by the final match of the season, Away to Aldwark Manor on August 18th, when we will be hoping not only to end the season on a 'High', but also to avenge their victory over us in the first of this years competitions.
 
  Please could I remind all members to check their availability for these two matches and to update the sheet in the Club-house as soon as possible if need be.
