York Union of Golf Clubs
    Cross Trophy   
  • Series of 14 winter pairs competitions scheduled at two venues on 7 Sundays October 2009 to March 2010, open to members of the 14 affiliated clubs.
  • The Trophy is awarded to the club with the lowest aggregate score of 3 pairs from each of the 14 rounds. Each club must have 3 pairs entered at all venues to remain in contention for the trophy.
  • Maximum of 10 pairs from any one club (5 pairs each venue), best 3 pairs at each venue count towards the Trophy.
  • Format is Four Ball Better Ball, ¾ handicap allowance.
  • Handicap limit is 18 (max combined handicap 30)
  • Cost is £18 per pair
  • Played off yellow (winter) tees, cleaning and placing will apply to all rounds of the competition irrespective of any Host club rules that may be in force.
  • Separate prizes for lowest scores at each venue, awarded on the day.

* The York Union have decided not to re-schedule the abandoned rounds at Scarthingwell and Forest of Galtres.
Entry sheets will be posted on the notice board in the club house approximately 4 weeks prior to each date.
